About the Organisation
The Indo–U.S. Arbitration and Mediation Hub is engaged in promoting dispute resolution through arbitration and mediation, with a focus on cross-border commercial disputes, financial arbitration, and infrastructure-related matters. The organisation works on developing practical understanding of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and supports research and documentation in arbitration proceedings.
The internship programme is designed to introduce students and young graduates to procedural and analytical aspects of arbitration practice through structured exposure and guided assignments.
About the Internship
This internship programme provides practical exposure to arbitration and mediation processes, particularly in matters involving cross-border commercial disputes, banking and financial arbitration, and infrastructure and maritime disputes.
Interns will gain experience in research support, drafting assistance, and case documentation related to arbitration proceedings.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected interns will be involved in:
- Assisting in legal research and case analysis
- Supporting drafting of pleadings, notices, and procedural documents
- Observing arbitration proceedings and hearings
- Assisting in case management and documentation work
The internship aims to familiarise participants with procedural frameworks followed in arbitration practice.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Law students from the 3rd year onwards in a 5-year programme
- Final-year students of a 3-year LL.B. programme
- Fresh graduates interested in arbitration and mediation
Candidates should demonstrate a basic understanding of ADR mechanisms and legal procedures.
