CGC University, Mohali was established in 2025 under the aegis of the Chandigarh Educational Society. The institution was previously known as Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, and received NAAC A+ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.46/4.0.
The School of Legal Studies is a key academic vertical of CGC University, Mohali. It offers a 3-year LL.B. programme and 5-year integrated law programmes.
About the Opportunity
The School of Legal Studies, CGC University, Mohali is organising the 4th Nationwide Moot Court Competition, 2026. The competition is intended to provide law students with an opportunity to develop legal research, legal writing and oral advocacy skills in a mock courtroom setting.
The competition focuses on analytical and argumentative skills, including understanding, historical research, analytical ability, logical thinking, presentation and judgment.
Fee
The registration fee for the competition is ₹4,500.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students duly enrolled and pursuing a full-time 3-year LL.B. programme or a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme from an institution or university recognised by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate.
- Each team may comprise either three members, including two speakers and one researcher, or two members.
Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Research
Participants will engage with the moot proposition and conduct the research required to prepare their arguments for the competition.
Legal Writing and Oral Advocacy
Teams will prepare and submit memorials and present their arguments during the competition rounds.
