SMILE, the Society of Motivating Innovating Learning Environment, is a registered non-profit based in Delhi. Its work spans health, education, environment, livelihood and social justice. Project Samarth provides legal support and advocacy with a focus on access to justice for marginalised and underserved communities.
About the Opportunity
The national-level legal internship under Project Samarth focuses on legal awareness, access to justice, pro bono initiatives and legal career development. It offers practical exposure to legal research, drafting, documentation, case preparation and court-related work.
This legal internship for law students and fresh graduates includes Supreme Court-related, High Court and District Court work, as applicable to assigned matters. The programme also introduces litigation procedures and provides legal career guidance and mentorship.
Duration
45 days.
Location
Delhi, with court-related assignments as applicable. The SMILE NGO office is at 2155, Outram Line, Kings Way Camp, GTB Nagar, Delhi–110009.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students.
- Recent law graduates.
- Freshers interested in litigation and legal practice.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to Supreme Court-related, High Court and District Court legal work.
- Undertake legal research and case analysis.
- Assist with legal drafting and documentation.
- Contribute to case preparation and court-related assistance.
- Participate in legal awareness and pro bono initiatives.
- Learn about litigation and court procedures.
