1st NLIU National Symposium on Securities Law & Capital Markets 2026 is now open for paper submissions. The symposium is organised by the Centre for Financial Markets and Regulatory Systems and will be held on 4–5 April 2026 at National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

This national symposium aims to promote scholarly dialogue on emerging legal and regulatory challenges shaping India’s financial markets and securities regulation.

About National Law Institute University (NLIU)

The 1st NLIU National Symposium on Securities Law & Capital Markets 2026 is organised by National Law Institute University Bhopal.

NLIU was established through the Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1997 by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Bar Council of India.

Since its inception, NLIU has been committed to delivering modern and comprehensive legal education through interdisciplinary teaching, research, and practical engagement with contemporary legal issues.

About the Centre for Financial Markets and Regulatory Systems (CFMRS)

The symposium is organised by the Centre for Financial Markets and Regulatory Systems at NLIU.

CFMRS is a student-led academic initiative focused on promoting research and discussion on issues related to financial governance, capital markets regulation, and investor protection. The centre conducts seminars, research initiatives, and policy discussions aimed at improving understanding of regulatory frameworks in the financial sector.

Long Articles:
5000 – 8000 words

Short Articles:
3000 – 5000 words

Case Notes / Legislative Comments:
1500 – 2500 words

Abstracts should not exceed 350 words and must clearly identify the research question and methodology.

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must:

  • Be original and unpublished
  • Follow OSCOLA or Bluebook (20th Edition) citation style
  • Use Times New Roman font, size 12 with 1.5 spacing
  • Maintain similarity below 15%

All submissions will undergo a blind peer review process.
