About National Client Counselling Competition
Client counselling is a critical component of legal practice, moving beyond theoretical policy dialogue to the direct application of law to human problems. This competition simulates a law office environment where students must act as advocates, building rapport with a “dummy client” while identifying viable legal remedies.
Participants will be evaluated on their ability to extract relevant facts, explain complex legal provisions in layman’s terms, and maintain professional discipline while suggesting the most effective course of action.
Competition Themes
The competition will challenge teams with diverse case scenarios involving:

- Property & Family Disputes: Inheritance, partition, and personal laws.
- Criminal Law: Crimes against women and children, forgery, and fraud.
- Financial Crimes: Banking fraud and digital forgery.
