About the Internship
Rajendra Law Office LLP is inviting applications for its Rolling Internship Program. This is an on-site opportunity in Chennai designed for students who are serious about pursuing a career at the Bar. Interns are treated as junior members of the legal team, providing them with a realistic view of the demands and rewards of a high-stakes litigation practice.
Key Work Areas:
- Appellate Practice: Understanding the nuances of filing and arguing appeals in the High Court.
- Civil & Property Law: Assisting in complex title verifications and civil suits.
- Constitutional Law: Researching writ jurisdictions and fundamental rights violations.
- Family & Commercial Matters: Exposure to diverse litigation portfolios including matrimonial disputes and contract enforcement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Interns will be expected to support the firm’s advocates in the following capacities:
- Research & Drafting: Conducting in-depth research on case laws and assisting in drafting pleadings, affidavits, and legal opinions.
- Court Attendance: Accompanying senior counsel to the Madras High Court and various Tribunals to observe oral arguments and court etiquette.
- Case Preparation: Preparing “briefs” and “case notes” for upcoming hearings and assisting in document filing procedures.
- Client Interaction: Attending client meetings and learning the art of legal counseling and brief-taking.

- Preference: Candidates residing in Chennai or those willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.
