About the Internship

This is a long-term, on-site internship based at the Livspace headquarters in Bangalore. Unlike a law firm internship, this in-house role allows you to see the “business side” of legal decisions, working directly with cross-functional teams like Sales, Operations, and Finance.

Roles & Responsibilities

Interns are integrated into the daily workflow of the legal department, focusing on:

• Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM): Understanding the end-to-end process of how a contract is initiated, tracked, and renewed within a large organization.
• Commercial Drafting: Drafting and reviewing vendor agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
• Negotiation: Assisting senior counsels in negotiating terms with third-party partners and stakeholders.
• Legal Advisory: Conducting research on consumer protection laws, e-commerce regulations, and corporate compliance to support business decisions.

Eligibility Criteria

Livspace is looking for candidates who can take professional ownership:

• Academic Year: 4th or 5th year students of a 5-year B.A. LL.B. program.
• Legal Foundations: Sound understanding of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and general commercial laws.
• Skills: Exceptional drafting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Availability: Must be able to commit to the Bangalore office for at least 6 months.
