The Role of an Assessment Intern
This position is designed for students who demonstrate high analytical rigor and a commitment to “Research-Focused Scholarship.” You will be integrated into the core team, assisting on live, high-value financing transactions.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Outcomes:
- Legal Research: Conducting deep-dive research on banking laws (SARFAESI, IBC, RBI circulars) and evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Transaction Drafting: Assisting in the drafting and reviewing of critical documents such as Loan Agreements, Hypothecation Deeds, and Guarantees.
- Due Diligence: Performing comprehensive legal research and due diligence on corporate entities to assess credit risk and title clarity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Supporting the team in ensuring all filings and transaction structures align with current RBI mandates and statutory requirements.
- Structuring Assistance: Gaining insight into how financing transactions are structured to balance commercial interests with legal safety.

Eligibility & Requirements
Indialaw LLP is looking for future professionals who already possess a foundation in corporate law and professional discipline.
- Educational Background: Students in their penultimate year of 5-year or 3-year LL.B. programs (graduating in 2027).
- Prior Experience: Candidates with previous internships in Banking & Finance or Corporate Law will be given strong preference.
- Skill Set: Exceptional drafting skills and the ability to perform high-stakes academic analysis of complex regulations.
- Location Prerequisite: Immediate preference is given to Mumbai-based candidates who can join the office on-site.
