INC Legal Fellows Programme 2026 has been launched by the Indian National Congress through the AICC Law, Human Rights & RTI Department. This fellowship offers young lawyers and law graduates a unique opportunity to work directly with Members of Parliament on legislative and policy-related work.

The programme provides practical exposure to parliamentary processes, legislative research, and governance while offering a monthly stipend of ₹50,000.


The INC Legal Fellows Programme is a 3-month fellowship designed for young law graduates who wish to engage with legislative work, public policy research, and governance in India.

Selected fellows will work closely with Members of Parliament and assist in various policy and legislative tasks including research on bills, parliamentary questions, and monitoring developments impacting governance and rights.

The fellowship aims to develop legal professionals with a strong understanding of constitutional processes and policymaking.


Selected fellows will assist MPs in important legislative and policy tasks such as:

  • Legislative research on Bills, amendments, and committee reports
  • Drafting parliamentary questions, interventions, and debate briefs
  • Monitoring key legal and policy developments
  • Supporting research related to governance and constitutional matters

This fellowship offers hands-on exposure to the working of the Indian parliamentary system and legislative drafting processes.
