The School of Agricultural Law and Economics (SALE) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, in collaboration with Dhir & Dhir Associates, is pleased to announce the 5th National Essay Writing Competition on a contemporary and forward-looking theme addressing the legal challenges of the new economy.
This national-level essay competition invites analytical, research-driven, and policy-oriented submissions that critically examine regulation in the age of technology, sustainability, and economic transformation.
About the Competition
The 5th National Essay Writing Competition aims to foster advanced legal scholarship and interdisciplinary dialogue on regulatory challenges emerging from rapid technological innovation, digital markets, ESG frameworks, sustainable finance, and global economic restructuring.
The competition encourages participants to go beyond doctrinal analysis and engage with real-world regulatory dilemmas, connecting legal theory with policy practice. Through this initiative, SALE, RGNUL seeks to promote informed discourse on how law can respond effectively to evolving economic realities.
Theme of the Competition
“Regulating the New Economy: Challenges in the Age of Technology and Sustainability”
Participants may explore sub-themes including (but not limited to):
- Regulation of digital markets and platforms
- Technology-driven economic models and legal oversight
- ESG frameworks and sustainable finance
- Climate regulation and economic governance
- Policy responses to innovation-led market disruptions
Eligibility
The competition is open to participants across disciplines, including:
- Students (UG, PG)
- Research scholars
- Academicians
- Legal and policy professionals
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and well-researched, with a clear analytical and policy-oriented approach.
